내 친구 (My friend)

She is Jeong Seungwon. We call her Rebecca. She is the sweetest, the kindest and the most humble Korean I have ever met. I am lucky she became my classmate. Despite the differences in culture, beliefs and other things, we still managed to get along so well. I am so proud to say that she is one of the most trusted friends I have. She is always there for me, even though I am not. She will do anything, as in anything, if that is what makes you happy. She is that selfless.

Dear Rebecca, we can’t ignore the fact that we will not be blockmates anymore next year. I just hope for the best, and I hope that we will not lose the friendship and the closeness we had this year. I may not be always there to be with you, but always remember that I will never ever forget you. I have learned a lot from you and I hope that I taught you things that you will need for your stay here in the Philippines. Please promise me that you will study Tagalog really well, okay? 사랑해.
